6th Invasion

[Squid Girl can be found at the park today, marveling at this white stuff falling from the sky and shivering from the cold.  She hasn't bothered to bundle up all that much, because she's used to cold deep-sea temperatures.  Unfortunately, she doesn't have her squidlike resilience to low temperature or high pressure back yet, and this damnable human body just isn't doing the trick.  But that isn't the first thing on her mind - priority number one is to check out the lake and see how her mission is going.  When she gets there, though, she's confronted with something she's utterly unfamiliar with.  She taps the edge of the iced-over lake with her foot and jumps back in surprise, pointing at it.]

"What the heck?  What's wrong with the lake?  Why is it... solid?"

*Nanashi was thinking of doing that to Ika on her next pull, but it looks like she waited too long. So, now Nanashi has fallen on her back into the snow with the briefcase lying on top of her*

*oh, and a random pile of snow from a nearby tree suddenly dumped on her, too*

*there's a bit of a pause... the snow is shifting around, as if she's doing something in there but not making an effort to free herself from its confines yet...*

[sneaks up slowly to poke at the snow mound]

*there's no reaction for a few more seconds... and then she bursts from the snow, holding a hunting rifle*

[And Squid Girl screams, falls backward onto on her ass, and starts backing up on her hands as fast as she can.]

"Don't shoot me!"
