16th Invasion

[Action; around town]

[Squid Girl's got a new project she's working on, so today she's excitedly running around town sidelining random people on the streets to see if they want to help her out.  She might also be coming up to your door and knocking excitedly.  Special attention is paid to mousy, shy, or nervous looking types, but she's harassing more or less everyone she can find about this.]

Hey, hey!  Do you want to be in a movie?  My neighbor and I are making one, and it's gonna be great!

[Action for 1245 Williams Road]

[She also pays a visit to Taiwan's place in particular, because she's pretty sure she's gonna need a favor from her to make this thing go off without a hitch.  So she's knock-knock-knockin' on your door too.]

Taiwan!  Are you home?

Yup! Right out of the ocean.

[identity profile] a-gentle-boy.livejournal.com 2011-03-06 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
[Well, this is a little much for Lucas to believe but it's not like she has any reason to lie. After a bit . . . ]

Does it really have to be such a violent movie?

[identity profile] moemoetentacles.livejournal.com 2011-03-06 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
It wouldn't be very exciting if they didn't fight.

[identity profile] a-gentle-boy.livejournal.com 2011-03-06 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
. . . It could be heartwarming and touching instead of exciting.

[identity profile] moemoetentacles.livejournal.com 2011-03-06 06:33 am (UTC)(link)
Like what? The squid and the shark make friends or something?

[identity profile] a-gentle-boy.livejournal.com 2011-03-06 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
. . .

Yes! And then . . . they decide they'd rather help the farmers and the citizens instead of murdering them.

[pause. Lucas fills the rest in with a rush as he thinks about what would be appealing.]

And then for a hundred generations after that the people of the city worship the mighty squid and the mighty shark that saved them from devastation and burn offerings to them and everything but the mighty squid a little more because it had more arms so it needs more offerings to be satisfied.

[identity profile] moemoetentacles.livejournal.com 2011-03-06 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I like the part about humans worshipping me, but the shark isn't allowed to share any of that. He has to go back to the ocean because he's a jerk.

[identity profile] a-gentle-boy.livejournal.com 2011-03-06 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
That's fine. It's just someone dressed up like one anyway right?

[identity profile] moemoetentacles.livejournal.com 2011-03-07 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
Well, yeah. But I hate sharks, so it has to lose the fight.

[identity profile] a-gentle-boy.livejournal.com 2011-03-07 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
But the rest of the idea is good, right?

[identity profile] moemoetentacles.livejournal.com 2011-03-07 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
I don't understand why the squid would want to help the humans. I mean, they've never done anything for her!

[identity profile] a-gentle-boy.livejournal.com 2011-03-07 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
It's because. Um.

. . .

While she's rampaging through the town she suddenly sees a little boy and she's about to stomp on his house and then he cries out and leaps forward to selflessly save his beloved pet squid from her crushing tentacles! And so she . . . has a change of heart! Uh-huh!

[identity profile] moemoetentacles.livejournal.com 2011-03-07 12:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? He had a pet squid that he loved?

[identity profile] a-gentle-boy.livejournal.com 2011-03-07 04:48 pm (UTC)(link)
. . .

Y-Yes! It's really touching, isn't it?

[identity profile] moemoetentacles.livejournal.com 2011-03-07 05:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I bet he kept it in a really small aquarium, though. With not a lot of room for it to swim around.

[identity profile] a-gentle-boy.livejournal.com 2011-03-07 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
No, it was gigantic. And approved by the National Committee of . . . Making Sure Aquariums Are Big Enough For Squids.

[identity profile] moemoetentacles.livejournal.com 2011-03-07 06:04 pm (UTC)(link)
There's really a committee for that?

[identity profile] a-gentle-boy.livejournal.com 2011-03-07 06:05 pm (UTC)(link)
. . . There could be. In the movie.

[identity profile] moemoetentacles.livejournal.com 2011-03-07 06:06 pm (UTC)(link)
And then maybe me and the pet squid team up to beat up the shark and throw it back into the ocean!

[identity profile] a-gentle-boy.livejournal.com 2011-03-07 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
A-Absolutely. For sure. Definitely.

[identity profile] moemoetentacles.livejournal.com 2011-03-07 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
That could work. As long as the squid win the fight with the shark and the humans promise to stop polluting the ocean, I guess I'm okay with that.

[identity profile] a-gentle-boy.livejournal.com 2011-03-07 06:10 pm (UTC)(link)
. . . OK! I'll start writing the script for you right now!

[identity profile] moemoetentacles.livejournal.com 2011-03-07 06:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay! I'll be counting on you, then! Make sure it's interesting and scary enough before the squid makes friends with the humans, though, or nobody'll want to watch it.

[identity profile] a-gentle-boy.livejournal.com 2011-03-07 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh. Um. Maybe someone else should write the first part, then.

[identity profile] moemoetentacles.livejournal.com 2011-03-07 06:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll do that part, then. But the ending definitely has the humans worshipping the giant squid, right?

[That's what she heard, at least.]
