Background: Gary is Squid Girl's hard hitter. She met him when she was off on her solo trip to discover the Tropical Island and was ambushed by a pod of Sharpedo. Gary showed up to help fight them off, and was going to eat Squid Girl for his troubles, but she convinced him that there were better enemies worth fighting out there. Team Evolution was gone by the time she came back, but Gary decided to stick with her anyway.
