2nd Invasion

moemoetentacles[Squid Girl had a pretty decent meal of seafood at one of Mayfield's fancy restaurants the other night thanks to Finas, but she's hungry again and wondering where exactly the restaurant caught all of those lobster. After all, more than one person told her that there's no ocean anywhere near Mayfield, and that's the only place she knows of to catch them in the first place. So naturally she ends up in the park, since the pond located there is the only terribly major body of water Mayfield has. She's determined to catch herself something good to eat for dinner today. Maybe even for the next couple of days if she's lucky!
Unfortunately, she's already managed to forget that Mayfield has stripped her of all of her squidlike abilities - most notably, the ability to breathe underwater and the use of her tentacles. Any normal person would just be able to swim to the other side of the lake after diving in, but Squid Girl has no idea how to swim like a normal person at all, so instead she just ends up desperately flailing around in the middle. Unless somebody dives in there to save her, she's fairly likely to drown in the most pathetic fashion imaginable.
Later on, Squid Girl can be found wandering the streets of Mayfield, still hungry and soaking wet. It's after sundown now, and the mid-fall evening weather has gotten rather chilly. She was in that water for a while earlier, and this weak human body of hers can't stand up to cold temperatures the way she's used to. So she's trying to walk back home, shivering and staggering down the street as she goes. Every once in a while she trips and falls over, only to slowly work her way back to her feet and continue on toward Stone Street.]
((OOC: For purposes of future continuity and avoidance of crazy time paradox, only the first person to rescue her from drowning or warm her up afterward will count officially for CR purposes as having saved her. I'm more than happy to tag this out with everyone who posts, though, as I want her to meet more people. She will definitely remember everyone's kindness, though! Just make it obvious somehow which of these you're responding to when you comment~
Also, Finas-mun - by all means, let's finish tagging out that restaurant encounter even though I've just posted past it with this. I think that scene will go some hilarious places before it's all said and done.))
