14th Invasion

[Today after school lets out, Squid Girl can be found on the front lawn of 452 Stone Street doing some combat practice - or rather, that's what she thinks she's doing.  To the casual observer, it looks more like she's dangerously flailing ten kitchen knives all over the place with her tentacles while yelling various things.]

"Hah!  Take that!  Feel the power of my Ten Bladed Whirlwind technique!"

[She alternates through a couple of different routines: stabbing wildly at thin air, hurling the knives into a nearby tree before reaching out with her tentacles to draw them back out again, and just spinning them around in a dangerous circle all around her body.  Someone might want to stop her before she hurts herself or somebody else.]

"O-okay! Here I come!"

[She stands herself up, wielding four of the knives in her tentacles and keeping the other ones free. This time, she tries to use her extra appendages to bind Shana's limbs while she goes running at her swinging the knives.]

[She'll backpedal and parry, trying to keep clear of the grabbing limbs, looking for an opening in Squidgirl's assault to poke her with the mop, hard.]

[She does a little better at avoiding being hit this time, but after a while Shana does indeed find the opening.]

"Oof!"

[Squid Girl stumbles backward, clutching at her stomach. That kind of knocked the wind out of her a little.]

"Better. You should probably take a break for a short time now. Pushing you after being bruised repeatedly will just make you fight sloppy."

"R-right!"

[Still rubbing at the sore spot, she headed for the door.]

"...You wanna watch TV or something?"

"I suppose. We should probably get some food."

Do you like shrimp? We have lots of shrimp! It's all for me, but I guess you can have a little bit since you're teaching me how to fight and stuff.

"Sure, I would like that, they don't really have much food like that here."

[She'll follow Squidgirl in happily]

[Squid Girl heads on into the kitchen, coming out into the living room a few minutes later with a tray with a truly gigantic pile of raw shrimp sitting on it.]

"Here we go!"

[Shana digs in with great gusto.]

Pretty good, right? Shrimp is the best!

"Well, it's not quite as good as melon bread."

"But it is pretty wonderful. Do you know if people here can cook decent Japanese food? I've yet to find anyone who can do that."

You could try Japan! If anybody knows how to cook Japanese stuff, I bet he does.

"Japan? I'm afraid I don't understand. That's a place, not a person."

No, there's a guy here named that too! He's got dark hair and brown eyes and always talks really politely and stuff.

"I... see. Well, I shall certainly ask him. Where does he live?"

Down on Williams Street. Watch out for the traps in the front yard, though.
